In response to comments like these in regards to my mentioning to the Mayor (and others) that I want to start mentioning some positive things, too:
"Zuma Dogg please don't tell us you're selling out. Seems you can be persuaded to easy. If you only knew the crap Antonio has done before he became Mayor I doubt you would be so quick to say anything positive about him. Seems you're becoming just another groupie like the rest."
First of all, I never said I was going soft or groupie-ho on the Mayor. (Re-read my story.) However, Larry Elder of KABC and some folks I met Saturday at Hazard Park brought something to my attention. We cannot leave all social problems up to the government to fix. (We could, but we'd be waiting forever as things get worse.)
We need charitable organizations like Salvation Army and so many others to step up, we need people to volunteer more than ever, like the un-paid volunteers whom without, there wouldn't have been a Million Trees LA event in Hazard Park on Saturday. (It was ALL volunteer, including ZD's time, and I DID pitch in.)
Also, philanthropic, charitable donations are more important than ever, because the City continues to waive taxes for the rich developers and waive all the "special event fees" that takes money away from the community.
So, if I see a Special Event Fee Waiver for a Youth/School Program on the agenda, I'll comment on that, as well, so as to maybe call some attention to it and maybe some people can volunteer as well, instead of only mentioning the fraud, waste and abuse side of things.
Read the damn post again, does it look like I am selling out? But only a foolish loser complains 100% without offering solutions or doing something about it. So after six months of hitting up City Hall, possibly harder than anyone ever has (and it's turned my life upside down), I would feel like a fool without trying to activate the community and get them involved in actually helping to pull this City out of the dumpster. Capishe? You bitter do-nothing losers still won't get it, but you aren't doing a damn thing but complain anyway. So I'm sure you'll have something to say about this too.
The rest of you, hit me up with an email, if you want to start becoming more active in the community and maybe we can do some big things together. We sure as hell can't depend only on the Mayor who is listening to all the wrong people.

And if you think my posts are too long...all you have to do is scrool down, crybaby loser.
