Here's an interesting quote from LA WEEKLY article on the "True Intent of Prop. R." But they could have called it, "This Doesn't Make Wendy Greuel Look To Good to Constituents".
FROM LA WEEKLY: Councilmember Wendy Greuel defended the Prop. R mailers [that the City Controller's office called, "duplicitous and intentionally deceiving".] "This is a campaign," she said. "I was talking to Dick Riordan on Saturday, and we chatted about it," the councilwoman added. "And Riordan said, "Listen, this is a campaign. That's what you do. Sometimes you exaggerate, sometimes you embellish, or whatever."
I guess "whatever" means, "duplicitous and intentionally deceiving". Funny, if you are campaigning for something constitutional and ethical you don't need to resort to exaggerations, embellishments, duciplitdeceptivenessptfulness, or whatever, Councilmember Greuel and Richard Riordan.
