Zuma Dogg: State of the City Speech (Pinch hitting for Absentee Mayor Villaraigosa)

Recently, while doing some research for a project, I was afforded the privilege to speak to some of the top minds in the region when it comes to the "big picture" in Southern Cali regarding jobs, housing, traffic and other regional issues that require the individaul cities across the region to address certain issues as a whole. (Like infrastructure. Be it an MTA project, or 1A-D money dispursal.)

And what I have recently learned has already been applied to much of my public comment, indirectly, as a filter I now use to help evaluate things from the "bigger picture" that ZD is always striving to bring into focus.

My number one mission is to expose the diversionary tactic for the real bigger picture reason behind it. For example, Mayor & Council claimed the need to ban vendors on Venice because it was hurting the revenue of the stores across the way, when in reality the bigger picture was that they were trying to gentrify the area in preparation of their $1.5 million condos. So they wanted the area to look more like Marina Del Rey to condo customers. (By the way, mayor lost that battle, and the vendors will return. Sorry, CM Bill "Spineless" Rosendahl, Mark "Time To Move On" Grant and Linda "Sucks" Lucks, and maybe Shelly Sloan.)

So now, since we've been waiting for the mayor's "State of the City" speech for so long, it's almost time for next year's (and I would understand why he is scared to give the speech, after the year he has just had); Zuma Dogg is going to step in as Mayor Pro-Tem and deliver the speech for him. (After all we know he is busy doing the following):

* Flying to Asia; walking down fashion show catwalks; taking naps at the "State of the Union" address; then slamming the President, publicly, and now Bush is gonna take it out on the state as a whole; campaigning for higher office; trying to take control of the LAUSD school construction budget for Uncle Eli and Riorend; he already spent all his political capital on the botched AB 1381 that continues to get kicked to the curb like the cheap ho that it is; is now spending private money (that people are saying is tied to constuction projects pending mayoral approval on behalf of the City) to fight the losing battle of AB 1381 in court; is trying to pull a "mutiny on the bounty" on the LAUSD school board by using his own money to back his own "Antonio-machine" candidate puppets, especially in the Valley, where he is the weakest; while at the same time already moving forward with plans to take control of the construction budget (and any other pesky related details) of three school clusters (something like 30-40 schools, depending on which three clusters),

SO THERE'S ONLY A LITTLE TIME LEFT OVER to perform his duties as Mayor (when he can squeeze it in) to continue to avoid hiring the thousand new cops (even though the trash fee hikes have already been collected), campaign for losing Propositions like Prop. H, ignore Charter law regarding vacacny rates, tenant's rights, affordable housing and condo conversions so now people are fleeing the city in droves because you drove up the cost of housing, without driving up the quality of the job market, because you are too busy doing Eli Broad's work and giving him, I mean the richest developers in the world (who are allowed the privilige to do buisness in the City), HUGE tax breaks, then you run to the lower-income and middle-income workers, who can barely afford to show up to work that helps keep the City ticking -- and pass it on to them. Plus, you're not as good of a singer as Zuma Dogg. Maybe we'll put it to a vote of the pueblos in '09.

There...Mayor Pro-Tem ZD's "State of the City" address delivered for the mayor, since he is too busy doing all those other things and racking up way too many frequent flyer miles to possibly accomplish even ONE of the many campaign promises he made to his supporters, who are now his opposition -- and as a result, these betrayed supporters has given birth to "ZD", the media's "people champ" who has risen out of these betrayed people's ashes.

And Bill Rosendahl, do something about the way Mark Grant and Sucks Lucks are running things in your district. AND CAN SOMEONE FROM DONE PLEASE TELL ME WHY SUCKS LUCKS IS RUNNING A LITTLE OLD VENICE BEACH PROTECTED EXPRESSION GROUP MEETING (WHEN SHE IS THE BIG (SMELLY) CHEESE OVERSEEING THE ENTIRE NC ENCHILADA ON BEHALF OF SHADY MAYOR? And Tony, you are always saying how you work round the clock with all this frenetic energy and are always so busy. Well Dr. W. Edwards Deming just sent me an email and said, "After reviewing the past year from a statistical analysis, the reccomendation is this: WORK SMARTER!" [But Deming's statistical review doesn't facotor "politics" into the formula, so ZD translates that to mean, "Stop listening to the wrong people...and after your performance this past year, I'd say that's EVERYONE. And Dr. Laura would like to close with her standard, "No go take on the school board, I mean day!"
