Oh No, PLEASE Don't Tell Me Prop K (La for Kids) Is Shady...ZD's Parks & Rec Specialst says, "Yes!"

You know, I'm not gonna put any Councilmembers on blast, but this week, Zuma Dogg strolled into a committee meeting to warn against the type of park money bamboozle that ZD is concerned about over the $400 million State Park & Rec bond money, that ZD is concern that a "sunset clause" may allow some shady non-profits to hijack the grant money, in effect, by sitting on the project till the "sun, sets" -- then the land (purcahsed with the grant money provided to the non-profit by the State to build the park and rec areas), can use it for ANYTHING they'd like -- like a new high density luxury condo, for example.

Then he repeated the comment in front of the full council, as well. Well, when ZD was mentioning the potential issue regarding the "$400 State Park Bond Bamboozle" to one of the CMs, with a couple others gathered around, as well -- MAN, did one of those CMs face start getting all scrunched up, and CM starts biting on lip. (DON'T PLAY POKER, YOU ARE A WALKING TELL, CM.) And it struck me as odd...why would a CM scrunch up their face, and bite their lip, when ZD starts saying, "I hope this prop K, LA for Kids isn't a problem. So I dispatched an email to ZAP's Park & Recs Specialist, and here's the answer to my question. And all ZD can say is...AH HA!!! It really does pay to attend the meetings, in person, as opposed to Van Nuys. And MAAAAAAAAN, some of these high level staffers are smiling WAAAAAAAY to much at ZD for the things I am saying. I think some of these second-in-charge, right-hand-people, whatevers WANT something bad to happen to their CM bosses...

ZAPPER,
What do you know about it. Is this another bond bamboozle like the $400 million State Park bamboozle effort, ZD uncovered at the De Leon "Private Meeting"? Email back if you think this has shady potential. (item 5 on 4/24/07 agenda 07-1045) --------------------------------------------------

ZUMA,
Yes, I do. It is from a 1996 bond passage called Proposition K. Too much to tell you in an email. called LA for Kids-Prop K Bond Oversight. That is the PERSON'S number we left for you on the phone. It is the next one due up in 2008 or 2009 to hit up. Will explain when we see each other eye-to-eye.
