"The Zuma Dogg Show" was a public access cable TV show that debuted in the year 2000, across Los Angeles and Ventura Counties, on various cable systems.
A fraction of the segments have been posted, over the past six years, since the debut of YouTube.
But, this past month, the vaults have been opened, as many hours of previously un-digitized material (stuck on VHS tape) has been transfered to DVD -- and uploaded on YouTube. See videos, as they are being posted, at ZumaDogg.com.
Many of you are familiar with "Singing Whitney In The Library," "7th Heaven," "Singing Like Steve Perry - Don't Stop Believing," "Gene Simmons Mask at City Council Meeting," and many other popular segments that have been posted.
HERE is a personal favorite of not only Zuma Dogg's, but many fans, some of who found this to be a "turning point," segment, since no one knew I played piano -- and it's a creative fantasy segment, that is different from all the other segments I ever produced. (The other similar segment is the Stone Temple Pilots "fantasy" segment, also posted this week.)
The word, "genius,' DID start popping up more often, after this segment: Remember, it was 12 years ago, and this type of thing wasn't being done. (I still don't think it is...Wayne's World is the closest thing.)
There's a reason Emmy, Grammy & Academy Award winners bowed down to ZD in disbelief when they saw me on the street, and not the other way around. Here's one of the reasons:
