VIDEO: "The Zuma Dogg Show" 8 Year Anniversary Post! (Part 1)

To celebrate 8 years of Zuma Dogg on Los Angeles cable tv and radio, I'm going to post some of the highlights from the original "The Zuma Dogg Show" (Comedy/Music/Variety) Public Access TV show as seen throughout Los Angeles and Ventura County. (The stuff I was doing before my first appearance at LA City Hall in April of 2006.) Plus, Best of the past two and half years SINCE Zuma Dogg's debut at City Hall (featuring Matt Dowd).

AND, like any artist, I like to start with my new releases. Luckily right up through this past week, ZD and Matt have felt City Council provided us with some of the best YouTube material, yet.

So when it comes to the 8 years of Zuma Dogg videos, the creativity is still on the upswing rather than decline, like eventually some day in the very far future, ZD videos and material will be like a new Elton John or Rolling Stones album we get these days. You'll always want to check it out hoping for something that touches the classic era, but all it really does is make you long for the previous decades work.

But like I said, even the stuff from this week, this month and this past four month round is still a "Some Girls" or "Magical Mystery Tour" or "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" -- as opposed to the current albums by Stones, McCartney and Elton.

So hopefully, I'm still like U2 during their "Actung Baby/Zoo TV" Tour. It will never be the Joshua Tree tour, because that is in the past, but Zoo TV was still on the upswing (you wanted to hear all the tracks off the latests album, as opposed to these days when you want to hear as many songs from the previous albums.

The best search I have found for all Zuma Dogg videos (YouTube and other video sites) is HERE! So I guess it's the closest thing to a Zuma Dogg online video archive.

AND: THIS JUST IN...Zuma Dogg recovers his original unedited masters of "The Zuma Dogg Show"! There are thirty 2-hour 8mm video tapes that contains almost ALL the footage I shot before the City Hall era. (This does not include the LIVE studio shows that aired out of Adelphia (now Time Warner on those magic Saturday afternoons when ZD was popping up at least once a month and sometimes a couple times a week. (I have a lot of those too, on the original 3/4 inch tapes.) HOPEFULLY, these tapes haven't eroded in the hot car they were in for long periods of time.

I don't even have an 8mm camera anymore (and obviously haven't had any spare cash to buy a cheap used one at the pawn shop) or the over 20 hours of unseen footage including the famous "ZD at the Vanity Fair Party Red Carpet" episode that was better than ET or Access Hollywood's coverage by all accounts (at least from a comedy standpoint).

If you haven't even seen that, then you really don't even know me. If you haven't seen Zuma Dogg at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame or N'Sync concert parking lot...you really don't know ZD.

It's like knowing the Beatles without knowing, "She Loves You," "I Wanna Hold Your Hand" and everything up to Magical Mystery Tour. (I'd like to think my "Sgt Peppers"and "Let It Be" is still AHEAD of me.

So with all the pomp and circumstance out of the way, here's the first little ditty in celebration of 8 Years of ZD on LA and Ventura County cable TV. Out of all the LIVE studio shows I have done (most of them on Saturday afternoons) there was one MOST MAGICAL show when I had the perfect Saturday afternoon time slot and it rained that afternoon and there must have been nothing else on TV, cause the phones were ringing like full on TRL or Larry King and it was the perfect flow of callers some of who "loved" Zuma Dogg and some who "loved to hate him" (which is perfect.) ZD is supposed to be like WWF or Andy Kaufman during these live shows.

So here's what ZD would consider his demo for a TRL style show:

And here's a bonus video of "Zuma Dogg's Battle Rap" from another good LIVE show:
